- You need a firm, level surface that is capable of supporting about 90 lbs. for the single machine and 150 lbs. for the double. A kitchen countertop is ideal, card tables are not. In some cases, we can provide a cart for the machine to rest on.
- Our margarita machines are designed for indoor use. We will be happy to set up the machine on your outdoor patio or porch, but we cannot guarantee its performance.
- Make sure you have a 15-amp circuit that you can dedicate strictly to the machine. If other things are plugged into the same circuit, the machine will not freeze. Also, please do not plan to use an extension cord.
- If you add cold ingredients to an empty machine, you will get frozen product in about an hour. If the ingredients are not cold, it will take longer. If you are making alcoholic beverages, you can place the bottle(s) of alcohol in the freezer several hours or even days before the party. Don't worry, it won't freeze.
- We recommend that you purchase 2 gallons of drinking water for every batch of mix you expect to need for your party. Gallons of water are easier to refrigerate or ice down than containers of water you fill from your tap. In some cases, it may also taste better.
- If you are having a party with a large number of guests, plan to add cold pre-mixed ingredients to the machine throughout the party. The mix will freeze more easily and you will not likely experience any down time.
- When your party is over, drain as much of the frozen product as you care to save into containers you can place in your freezer. This way, you can have some daiquiri or margarita anytime you like!
- Again, we will take care of the cleaning of the machine but do ask that you flush the machine with about one gallon of cold water after the party. Never add hot water to the machine!!!
